Virtual Learning Parent Playbook


All MNPS students can pick up breakfast and lunch meals starting August 4. It is strongly encouraged that students go to their enrolled schools to pick up meals. However, this is not mandatory.

新皇冠体育盘口To pick up meals from stand-alone distribution sites or bus stops, parents and/or students will need to provide the following information: 

  • Student name

  • 新皇冠体育盘口School of record

  • Student grade level

  • 新皇冠体育盘口Student 190-number

  • Student birth date

新皇冠体育盘口Each student is entitled to breakfast free of charge. Students who attend CEP schools receive free lunch. Students at non-CEP schools will be required to pay.

新皇冠体育盘口Payment for lunches can be made through MySchoolBucks. No cash payments will be accepted at this time. Please use to sign-up or log-in. Families are encouraged to use this payment portal because schools will not be accepting payment during meal pick-ups. 

All lunches for all tiers cost $3.00 in the virtual setting.


pick-up times

  • 新皇冠体育盘口Grab-and-go will be from 11:30am – 1:00pm.

  • High school times should be between 10:00am – 11:00am.

  • Elementary times should be between 11:30am – 12:30pm.

  • 新皇冠体育盘口Middle school times should be between 12:45pm – 1:45pm.

Bus stop pick-up times will be communicated on the “” app on the district website.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a federal reimbursement program that allows school districts to offer lunch at no cost to students in eligible schools.  

  • 55 schools will use the traditional free- and reduced-meals application for eligible students to receive free- or reduced-price lunches, and 86 schools will continue to provide lunch at no cost to all students under CEP. 

  • 新皇冠体育盘口All schools will serve breakfast at no cost to all students.

  • 新皇冠体育盘口Students who attend a school that will require an application for free- or reduced-price lunch will be able to apply online and by paper form beginning July 20, 2020.

  • 新皇冠体育盘口When Metro Schools are operating virtually, we are still required to follow eligibility rules for meal distribution to students.  It is important for all eligible families in non-CEP schools to apply for free- and reduced-price lunch.
